OUR JOURNEY

In 1886, Welsh Immigrant and the Original “Celtic Cowboy,” Robert Vaughn, began plans for the most advanced livery in the Pacific Northwest combining the Livery/ Freight Transfer Station, Teamster Boarding House and Fruit and Vegetable Market, all under one roof. He named the building the “Arvon Block” after his daughter, Arvonia. Vaughn was an early Montana pioneer who famously wrote “Then and Now: 36 Years in the Rockies,” that chronicles his experience on the Montana frontier reminisces of his many friends.

Book Your One-of-a-kind Stay At The Historic Hotel Arvon

The Hotel Arvon is housed in a historic building that was completed in 1890. The historic architecture of our building lends itself to some unique characteristics. There are light wells bringing in natural light to the hallways on second and third floors. Hotel Arvon boasts of 33 rooms mixing the past with the present in the design and furnishings. Each room has original artwork provided by local artists. 11 rooms are suites, 5 that have the unique design of added skylights in the rooms.

Historic Hotel Arvon is 100% smoke free for the comfort of all of our guests.
